CTR – ClickThrough-Rate

Die Click-Through-Rate, kurz CTR, wird häufig auch einfach als Klickrate bezeichnet.
Die CTR bezichnet die Beziehung zwischen der Anzeige-Häufigkeit eines Werbemittels und der darüber erzielten Klicks.

Berechnen läßt sich die CTR durch die folgende Formel:

Anzahl der Klicks / Anzeigehäufigkeit = CTR in %

Beispiel: ein Werbebanner wir 150 mal angezeigt, und 23 mal angeklickt. Die Click-Through-Rate (CTR) beträgt demzufolge:

23 : 150 = 15.33%

Leider ist eine solche Fantasie-Klickrate nicht üblich: durchschnittliche Klickraten liegen eher bei 1% bis 2%.
Allerdings ist dabei auch zu berücksichtigen, um welche Werbeform und welche Art von Kampagne es sich handelt. Gewinnspiele, Newsletter, Rich Media- und Layer Ads erzielen häufig höhere Werte, die Schaltung einfacher Fullsize-Banner dagegen meist nur geringe Klickraten.
